2.8 Days Later: a Harrowing Tale of Survival in Short Hills

Entry 2.8: the Keurig is silent. The convection microwave is dark. The whole-house water softener doesn’t stir. The very means of survival have been snatched away. My wife and kids have have fled to a warmer world, but I remain to keep watch over the abode and to tend to my critical duties in financial services. As the day wears on and I’m forced to consume acrid coffee from the Flavia machine in my office, I grow weary of returning to our Tudor style ice castle in the Hills.
